The Business Analytics team provides ongoing support and insight to Sales and Service organizations, and the Advanced Analytics Specialist will provide leadership for the development efforts within this team. The development efforts focus on new insights via the application of mathematical and econometric principles. They are looking for someone to manager their Advanced Analytic initiatives using SAS. Candidate must be strong with Enterprise Miner, modeling, predictive analytics. Experience with SAS Predictive Asset Maintenance Solution is a major plus Background and Requirements: This is a “contract-to-hire” position in Raleigh. - 5 plus years of experience with Enterprise Miner and modeling experience. - Experience with SAS Predictive Asset Maintenance Solution is a major plus. - PhD in Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics or equivalent (preferred). - MS in Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics or equivalent (required). - Strong communication skills are required. Will have to mentor and manager business analysts. - 7 or more years of experience with applied analytics, with the ability to integrate a multitude of data sources and provide a detailed and insightful output - 5 or more years of experience with applied analytics, with the ability to integrate a multitude of data sources and provide a detailed and insightful output. Client has an Oracle DW and a lot of data in MS SQL Server. So, Oracle experience is a major plus. - Experience interpreting complex model results and present meaningful, client-ready business insight based on model analytics. - Experience delivering large analytical projects or analytics outsourcing engagements. - Demonstrated ability to create, follow and complete a project plan. - A proven ability to work cross functionally with stakeholders to ensure best outcome is achieved. - Expertise in using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) - Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Macros) - Demonstrated application of Advanced Analytical skills - 1 or more years experience with B.I. and Analytical tools such as SAS JMP Job Requirements: 1.Ongoing development of ad-hoc and production level analytics, providing insights into correlations and causality 2.Development of standardized metrics which provide key insights without overstating normal business variability 3.Provide leadership and training to other team members on fundamental statistical techniques and applications 4.Communication with partners at all levels, both internally and externally 5.Provide compelling, engaging and persuasive fact-based arguments 6.Set clear priorities to optimally complete work tasks and allocate resources efficiently 7.Work to designated deadlines and communicate progress as necessary The Consultant must be an excellent communicator (both spoken and written forms) and be able to effectively foster interactive collaboration and discussions among the client’s team.
