*Highlights of Responsibilities:*
· *Software Vision* – Develop and communicate to technical team the
software architecture chosen for the application.
· *Development *- Scrum software development/integration testing
project team(s). Test, develop software application components while
mentoring and overseeing the work of team developers.
· *Customers* - Work with Product Owners to understand their
business needs and issues; utilize business knowledge when deciding what a
given technology can contribute to the overall function of the system in
order to encourage opportunities for re-use of the technology and the
software solution.
· *Research and Development* - Perform feasibility analysis on
future potential project efforts for management; investigate benefits and
drawbacks of proposed releases of technological products and share that
information with other architects within the enterprise and program; work
with; attend technical conferences and events bringing back to the
enterprise key points and devise plans for potential use of new tools.
· *Governance* – Ensure that standards and best practices are used
by developers; act as the highest level of technical expertise on a team(s)
and provides guidance to others; works with other Cash Forward architects
to promote use of best practices, development of standards and oversight of
quality within the technical arena.
*Qualifications: *
· 8+ years of enterprise-level J2EE programming and architecture
experience
· Proven software and applications development architecture
experience including component design, integration, security, testing,
performance tuning, data models and work flow
· Excellent understanding of Design Patterns and Java/J2EE industry
standards best practices
· Experience in implementing new technologies; working on projects
of moderate to high complexity
· Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
to include: demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly;
create and conduct effective presentations; experience building strong
client relationships while exercising influence and negotiating skills to
achieve desired results
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and demonstrated
ability to interact with all levels of employees and leaders internally and
externally to the organization
· Strong organizational, analytical, customer service and time
management skills and proven ability to write clear and concise technical
documents
· Must be adaptable, flexible and work well in a team environment
· Practical experience and knowledge of the following
technologies/principles:
· Java: Servlets, JSF, Spring, JUnit, Hibernate, Log4j or other
logging framework
· SQL Development: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures,
triggers, PL/SQL
· Application Servers: WebSphere
· Web: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, jQuery, JSON, Ajax
· Business Intelligence: SAP Business Objects (preferred)
- IDE: Eclipse and/or RAD
- Source control tools (Subversion, or other)
- Scripting: Maven
- Test management software (HP Quality Center or other)
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
other related field or equivalent work experience
· Overnight travel may average ten to twenty nights per year for
project related meetings and/or training
