Title: Database Administrator - DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server posted on 2013-10-17 10:00:26 Job Description:Sr Database Administrator Required - IDMS DBA Desired -- DB2 DBA Loc: St. Louis, MO Sub/H1 is ok – no additional layers End Date 12 month assignment Job Responsibilities Design, develop, implement and support complex structures that meet or exceed the business requirements Create and adhere to standards that ensure efficient coding methodologies and high availability of our database systems Quickly respond to database performance problems in high-pressure situations Proactively monitor and resolve database capacity issues Support virtual data center concepts and replication Technical leader and advisor to leadership, DBAs and project teams Perform maintenance as needed Perform code reviews Job Requirements: Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering Experience or training in database management technology or software development is preferred. Proficiency with IDMS is required. Some knowledge of DB2 is beneficial. Database tools, such as: Platinum. Understanding of and commitment to protecting the integrity, security and privacy of the firm's critical business data Good interpersonal skills, plus good written and verbal communication skills.
