We have a recent opening for a *Oracle DBA/Developer* here in Atlanta, GA. The role is budgeted out for an 8 month contract. Any local candidates are preferred as they will do a straight face to face interview with an offer that day. If the candidate is out of state, they will do a phone interview and then a skype interview. This person needs to be strong with PL/SQL writing stored procedures, queries and triggers. The ideal rate they were looking for is around *50/hr* but could go higher depending on the right candidate. They also need experience as a DBA doing performance tuning and query optimization. The manager can interview this week for the right candidates. *Project summary* Working on Carriers Connections WFN module, this person will be involved on performance tuning/optimization to allow us to expand our WFN product to support clients with over 10,000 employees. Our current threshold is around 1,500 employees. Connections is a part of our flagship product and is mission critical. We want this person to be able to quickly onboard (with support by 2 DBA’s here in Alpharetta and 2 in India), provide guidance and recommendations on production bottlenecks we are having now as well as prepare for the 10K move. *People Fluent – Short Description* Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database(s). Requires a bachelor's degree in area of speciality and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. *People Fluent – Long Description* Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database(s). Identifies data sources, contructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and document the process. Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures. Analyze reports to improve performance on the field. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of speciality and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Provide consultation on complex projects and optimizations and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a Manager or head of unit/department.
