Job Title: QA Automation Engineer Location: Roseville CA (Sacramento area) Duration:6 Months contract *Job Description* The Senior Software Automation Engineer will be part of a development team that develops highly configurable software in a collaborative environment employing Agile development methodologies. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for selecting, developing and implementing an automation framework to support SaaS platform development. Best candidates will have a passion for creating a replicable, structured approach to automated testing that new team members can understand and extend independently. *Primary Duties and Responsibilities* •Evaluate and select an automated tool suite to support SaaS testing and then create, update and maintain the automation framework for testing efforts. •Participate in the design, development, documentation, analysis and testing of assigned products. •Work with project leaders and engineering management to analyze project requirements with the goal of increasing automated testability and decreasing risk. •Develop processes for effective monitoring and reporting of automation test cycle results. •Internally market the principles and practices associated with automation. •Provide accurate story sizing and time estimates for all testing efforts. •Follow current testing processes and policies including documentation and Jira maintenance. •Investigate, reproduce, log and escalate reported defects. •Attend and participate in all Agile ceremonies – standups, demos, retrospectives and planning sessions. •Communicate and support all project-related information in a timely and professional manner as dictated by team need and testing processes. •Train and support internal users when new functionality is released. •Master current and help evolve more efficient/effective testing environments including improvements to test data, queries to (sandbox) environments and robust error logging. •Coordinate and participate in release activities. •Train, guide and help develop SQA resources in automation principles and practices. *Required Job Related Skills and Experience* •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. •Six years of software quality assurance testing experience. •Acted in a lead role in evaluating and selecting an automated solution. •At least three years spent implementing automated testing frameworks and designing automated test suites using the more common automation tools (Telerik, Selenium). •At least 1 year experience using automation to test web applications and technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON)from browser through back-end. •Familiarity with relational databases, proficiency with SQL and one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, vendor-specific scripting languages). •Experience with test case management and execution tools and an understanding of how those tools are used in an automated testing environment. •Experience with software build management and continuous integration . •Experience with automated load and performance testing design, development, implementation and reporting preferred. •Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus. *Additional Qualifications* •Deep understanding of the software development life cycle •Advanced knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies •Proficient with common automated testing tools (Selenium) and their associated requirements •Possess the creative ability to ‘think outside of the box’ and invent and document new workflows •Ability to analyze a variety of input (conversations, documentation and experience) then use the analysis to design correct and complete automated testing plans •Ability to multi task and independently prioritize workload •Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization in both written and verbal formats •Ability to work successfully with all levels of the organization, especially in a team environment Display a commitment to quality that requires being detail oriented Thanks & Regards, Rani Adari Sr. IT Recruiter Tech Tammina 203 Elden Street Herndon, VA-20170 Call: 703-880-4992 Fax: 703-991-5532 [email protected] www.tammina.com GTalk:raniadarii -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
