Good morning, I just had a new opportunity come across my desk for a BI Developer in Steven’s Point, WI. This contract is expected to go till September of 2014. Qualified candidates must have experience with SSAS, MDX, StarSchema, and T-SQL. Insurance experience is not required but is HIGHLY beneficial. Sentry will hire off of a Skype interview and can pay up to $55/hr.. A detailed job description is provided below. Please send any qualified candidates my way and I will let you know my thoughts. *JOB DESCRIPTION* Scope of work Type of Application: BI Developer Project Description: The Sentry Enterprise Reporting Asset is being expanded to include a broader range niche specific insurance data attributes. A key phase of this project will be providing BI capabilities to support business user data validation and user acceptance testing. Assignment Description (Analyst/Developer/DBA … etc.): Based on user requirements, technical designs and test approaches develop and test a BI consumption layer over analytical data. Assignment Responsibilities: Under general supervision, assume primary responsibility for creating a BI consumption layer over the established analytical data store. This will include understanding established requirements, working with business users and business analysts to further develop and refine requirements, development, testing and documentation of the BI solutions delivered. Participate in the user acceptance testing and data validation activities, troubleshoot and fix defects with limited guidance, and investigate data anomalies encountered during testing. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012 will host the analytical data store. The majority of the BI layer required to complete this assignment will be built using Microsoft SQL Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes. Heavy experience with SSAS, Multidimensional Expression (MDX) development, star schema analytical data stores, ETL architectures and concepts and T-SQL development are required. Experience with Business Objects universe and report development and Tableau development is highly desired.
