*Hey ALL! *I have an immediate need for a local oracle DBA. This manager is eager to bring someone on and will interview and make a decision within 3 business days of the initial submission. Do you have any consultants who might be interested? *Location:* Brea, CA 92821 *MAX Rate:* $45 to 50.00 *Contract Length: *approved through Dec 2015 with potential for extension. Contract to hire is a possibility. *Requirements:* · Oracle 11g,installation and configuration · Database administration, monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting · Needs to have good experience with AIX · Strong schema design skills and ability to do some PL/SQL development when needed - they have database developers, so we are not looking for a developer, but this person should be able to do some PL/SQL development if needed for a particular purpose · Need someone who has experience managing very large data sets – their data warehouse currently houses almost 2 TB of data · Strong communication skills *Nice to have:* · Ideally looking for data warehouse experience as well, that's the #1 biggest plus, although this is a plus and not a requirement. RAC environment would also be a plus, it is not a requirement. · Light architecture wanted, they want someone who can look at their current systems and see how they can be improved and constantly look for suggestions on how to make things run better, however they don’t need to be an architect *Environment: * ***This person needs to be very hands on. A lot of times DBAs can work on a team size of 5 DBAs.
