Manages a team of analysts or developers responsible for the organizations applications development and analysis function. Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines. Sets and implements policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing. Requires a bachelors degree in a related area and at least 7 years of experience with applications development. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a head of a unit or department. QA Manager Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager will lead Quality Assurance activities to customer applications before and after transformation. This position will be an integral part of the Transformation team and requires someone who has experience leading others, while focusing on both black box and grey box testing of client/server with strong emphasis on browser-based applications. The role also requires documenting, preparing and executing risk-based test strategies in cooperation with the customer application teams. The successful candidate will have a proven ability in developing and managing test automation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute a standard QA strategy comprised of manual, automation, integration, and performance/stress testing • Ensure systems test plans are fully documented and meet the needs of the business and customers. This includes validation for Governmentally regulated systems by departments such as the FDA, EPA, etc. • Drive overall project management of QA activities to ensure that transformed applications perform to the expectations of the customer. • Establish a unified and consistent QA process that also accounts for application security testing • Work with Transformation and Customer teams to plan, develop and implement release and test plans • Manage QA resources in the most efficient and effective manner without compromising quality. • Liaise with other functional/departmental leaders to ensure they are fully informed of objectives, purposes and achievements of this function. • Contribute to the evaluation and development of overall IT strategy and performance. • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care. Requirements Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology leading QA teams in increasingly complex and challenging projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Significant experience with software QA/QC methodologies & technologies with respect to manual, automation, integration, and performance/stress testing areas • Significant experience with Test Driven Development, web-based testing, Microsoft Test Manager, QTP, etc. • Experience with software and software system security concepts and appropriate testing techniques • Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal • Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements • Knowledge of the SDLC • Experience building reports • Expert-level proficiency in the following: o Network concepts including LAN/WAN architectures o Microsoft Visio o Systems Development/Integration Fundamentals o Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) • Ability to learn and understand various systems and databases • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external interactions • Ability to analyze situations and challenges in a systematic, logical approach • Ability to analyze data points extracted by automated and manual discovery processes • Intermediate-level proficiency in the following: o Microsoft Project o Multiple Relational Databases including Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL o Java Development o CRM System Fundamentals o Internet and Client Server Architectures ***remote Applications accepted*** Thanks & Regards, Rani Adari Sr. IT Recruiter Tech Tammina 203 Elden Street Herndon, VA-20170 Call: 703-880-4992 Fax: 703-991-5532 [email protected] www.tammina.com GTalk:raniadarii -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
