Months* * Primary Objective* · Creates and consistently improves the data validation strategy to ensure data is converted and migrated successfully · Supervises a team of data analysts that are responsible for executing data profiling and validation activities · Exhibits strong leadership skills to improve group organization and delivery process · Liaison between the business data experts and the project team, to drive and communicate data quality activities and communicate status · This project is global, large scale, high visibility, and cross-functional in nature *Major Areas of Accountability:* · Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical groups to collect, document and understand data validation requirements · Leads, builds and drives the data cleansing and validation processes for the One Vision program · Ensures and takes responsibility for the collection, analysis, validation and documentation of the stakeholders business needs and requirements for data cleansing and validation · Produces appropriate documentation of said processes and reviews and gains approvals from said stakeholders and program auditors · Serves as a liaison between the business SME's, business data Validators and the core program members (MIS functional and technical leads) · Participates in short and long term planning sessions with stakeholders to improve and refine processes that are repeatable in all deployments · Resolves conflicts and removes barriers · Establishes and monitors metrics to ensure and monitor cleansing and validation progress · Understands basic financial information and markets, involving Thomson Reuter's products & services. · Prepare & test data for loading into internal systems which also includes communicating with technical teams as to load requirements, timing and testing · Build automated data validation scripts to improve efficiently and accuracy of data validation · Monitor data validation progress, assist with issue capture and work across all project teams to resolve and communicate issues · Maintain requirements repository and ensure proper updating of requirements for completeness and correctness. · Build and leverage effective alliances across technical and business communities · Assist in creating data audit processes and KPIs to ensure consistent data maintenance procedures · Assist in the design and execution of a manual data validation strategy. · Facilitate data issue understanding and resolution to ensure data standards are understood, reported and maintained *Scope and Impact* · Performs work across multiple business segments and processes, and engages in highly complex business processes requiring the design or integration of technical solutions across multiple segments of the business · May be responsible for managing the relationship to a third party or remote development team in terms of communication of business requirements and management of quality of delivery · Accountable for timeliness of team and project results, and takes responsibility for the quality of work delivered · Uses skills and knowledge of employees and understanding of team dynamic to maximize team effectiveness · Responsible for estimating effort required for own work, and checking and agreeing other team member estimates · Supervises a team and is responsible for delegation of assignments & coaching more junior members *Required Skills* · Working understanding of information systems, business operations, requirements analysis, and integration/design of client solutions · Requires solid experience of relevant technical and business work experience and/or should ideally come from a background in the same business area · Requires in-depth knowledge of business operations, requirements processing, business modeling concepts, information systems, software development life cycle, business process development and leadership skills and stakeholder management · Thorough working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Visio · Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills · Very strong attention to detail · Experience eliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions and use cases · Experience with decomposing high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements · Strong organizational skills · Strong relationship building and influencing skills that maintain effective partnerships across functional groups *Preferred Skills* · Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred · SAP experience is a plus *Education & Experience* · 4-year undergraduate degree required · 2+ years supervisory experience required · 5+ years data analyst experience (data profiling, data mapping, data validation, data manipulation, data
