Rate:55/hr on C2C The Customer Innovation team within Stryker IT Global Solutions, plays an important leadership role in identifying and applying new technologies to drive and support Stryker’s business. The Customer Innovation team explores, discovers, and investigates innovative technologies to help deliver effective and efficient products, services, and technology based solutions to complex business problems. Successful innovation using technology requires expert project management, research and development, collaboration, business planning and implementation. The Technology Innovation Project Manager will effectively drive the technology innovation process across all phases of innovation including: • Research and Discovery • Business Development • IT Project Management The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager that can work creatively within the Research, Business Development, and IT processes to drive projects through to completion. Qualifications / Experience • Five to ) • Demonstrated proficiency in project management, including budgeting, planning, execution, delivery, quality assurance, and reporting. • Familiarity with managing projects within a life sciences environment (awareness of cGMP regulations – 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR Part 11 a plus) • Solid understanding / familiarity with research discovery and development projects. Experience leading research projects to satisfy a defined business or scientific objective. • Solid understanding / familiarity with taking an idea / concept through a business development process including: assessment and evaluation, vetting through various functional experts, and development of a business plan. • Experienced in leading teams / workgroups in pursuit of new technology initiatives. Knowing how to effectively use indirect authority to influence team members to complete tasks. • Experienced working across all vertical levels within a Corporate environment – communicating with upper management as well as individual contributors. • Team Player committed to quality; motivated self-starter; detail and results oriented • Well organized, reliable, technically proficient with excellent oral / written communication skills • Critical, analytical thinker and problem solver • Willingness to wear many hats and perform tasks as needed to drive results. +++ RECRUIT POINTS: **Seven Pluse years of IT project management experience (PMI certification a plus/desired) **Bachelor’s degree required ** See Job Summary for Qualifications, and below for Responsibilities/Day in Life **Top 3 Qualifications needed in a candidate: 1- Independent Professional PM 2 - Needs to be: Hands on; not a delegator. An Innovator/Inventor's mindset with creative thinking. +++ ***Responsibilities (Detailed) Research and Discovery • Provide overall assistance / leadership with technology innovation research projects. • Help coordinate and facilitate the research project management life cycle, including initiation, development, and implementation. • Help coordinate research team activities, and manage research project timelines, to ensure research activities are completed within the specified timeline. • Support the management and logistics of research projects. Participate in review of research related fieldwork, validating collected data, authoring reports and communicating across various research constituencies. • Where appropriate, assist with decisions on the methodology and techniques for conducting research. • Regularly meet with stakeholders, including research constituents, clients and study teams, to collect and communicate business and research requirements, and set expectations for research-related work. • Help to broker collaborative partnerships across various research constituencies, including project heads, research directors, study teams, investigators and external collaborators Business Development • Facilitate the assessment of new technology ideas through the Business Development process. • Regularly meet with stakeholders, teams involved in the evaluation process to collect and communicate business requirements, and assessment results. • Assist in development of a business plan / proposal that will be delivered to management sponsors. IT Project Management • Manage all IT aspects of Technology Innovations projects with a customer oriented and creative mindset. Although a formal project methodology will be embraced, look for opportunities to streamline and expedite completion of tasks to ensure innovative opportunities are quickly executed and delivered. • Provide overall Project leadership and planning for the implementation of Technology Innovation projects. • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; • Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; • Develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
