Job Title: Manual QA Tester Location: Chicago, IL or New York area Duration:12 Month Contract-to-Hire Phone/FTF: phone screen followed by an onsite interview. QA consultants in the Chicago or New York area that have recent experience in Unix. My client is looking to bring in a Quality Assurance Analyst who has Manual Testing, strong SQL Query capabilities and has worked in a UNIX environment. Responsibilities include full documentation (test cases, defects and build assessments) and execution of functional and integration testing for large/complex applications systems (i.e., significant back-end and front-end logic & components). Requirements: · Experience with testing methodologies such as agile and iterative approach. Development background is a plus. · Strong knowledge of backend testing (Oracle DB is highly preferred, but open to MySQL, SQL Server, etc.); · Must have experience creating SQL scripts. · Worked in a Unix/Linux environment. · Excellent communication- verbal, written, and ability to work in teams. · Ability to adapt to new technology and enjoys being challenged; has the mindset to assume that things will be wrong until the tests prove otherwise. · Manuel Testing—good understanding of smoke testing, regression testing, integration testing, etc. Highly Preferred: · Experience testing applications in Java · Test automation in Selenium with Web Driver is preferred. · Familiarity with tools such as Quality Center, GIT, JIRA, Confluence and UC4 is a plus.
