I have a need for a QA manager for a 12 month contract in Roanoke, VA. Pay
is based on experience. Communication is extremely important in this role.
Below is the job description. Please send me who you have. They must have

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties
may be assigned.



· Develop and manage a program level testing strategy

· Lead a team responsible for development and execution of quality
assurance processes within a variety of methodologies (waterfall, agile)
and varying sizes and types of initiatives (maintenance releases, emergency
changes, minor releases through major multi-system projects). These
processes should include all phases of functional testing, load and
performance testing, manual and automated testing

· Develop and manage a test plan that is integrated with overall single
project and program level plans.

· Lead the identification, development, and administration of testing
resources including test environments, labs, data repositories, and testing
tools

· Collaborate with project management staff in estimating resource needs
for new initiatives. Forecast staffing needs based on budget and workload.
Ensure staff resource levels are appropriate to meet the forecasted need

· Provide overall testing project management with daily / weekly scorecard
reporting

· Utilize risk-based testing principals in order to prioritize testing
efforts

· Manage multiple test resources from multiple test sources.

· Build relationships with other QA and development teams in order to
facilitate communication of resources needs (personnel and labs),
coordination of testing efforts, continual process improvement, and
thorough end-to-end testing of cross-platform changes

· Develop relationships with IT customers and acquire working knowledge of
business processes. Optimize interactions with business users during user
acceptance testing to ensure all changes are reviewed and understood by the
user prior to UAT sign-off

· Lead and mentor staff on quality improvement tactics in a focused effort
to meet corporate and division objectives at the program and project level.

· Establish quality goals, metrics, and reporting processes. Provide
leadership in analysis of quality and defect trends and continual process
improvement



QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

· Previous experience in leading and mentoring quality assurance
professionals

· Experience in functional, non-functional, integration, load, performance,
stress, and user acceptance testing

· Ability to work with technical team members, management, and business
users

· Excellent organization and communication skills

· Preferred technical skills & principles as depends upon the systems under
test (for example, database tools, specific programming languages, Point of
Sale systems, Data Warehousing principles, web design principles, etc)

· Previous experience with defect tracking and software testing tools

· Possesses the ability to work in a fast paced environment, balance
multiple concurrent assignments, and adapt well to changing priorities

· Experience with implementing QA practices within multiple software
development methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc)

· Expert knowledge with Microsoft Project and/or other similar project
management products

· Experience with MS framework a plus

· Experience with automation a plus

· Testing profile includes:

o Packaged software that is highly configurable

o Enterprise integration using broker technology

o Single code base supporting multiple independent deployments

o Multiple technology footprints
