Rates $DOE/HR with flexibility if necessary. **Candidates must be local to the area.** *Position Title* Informatica Architect *Location *Rockville, MD *Position Description* Our client is looking for a hands on resource that can guide their development team, troubleshoot issues, and help them in implementing best practices for their Operation Data Store (ODS) initiative. *Required Skills* · In depth understanding of data warehouse concepts, methodologies including change data capture, operational data stores, and meta data management. · Hands on experience in Informatica PowerCenter Development · Strong understanding of Informatica Architecture · Knowledge of best practices in installation and configuration for Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange tools on Solaris Server · Knowledge of Oracle Exadata Database Machine X3 · Extensive Informatica ETL and Oracle Development experience *Job Description* · Full life cycle responsibility of Operation Data Store (ODS) implementation from design to development. ODS will be used for real time data replication using Change Data Capture (CDC) process of Informatica PowerExchange · Install and configure PowerExchange tools in development environment using best practices. · Perform optimization queries in development environment. · Develop guidelines and procedures governing enterprise-wide data collection and extraction · Create Install and configuration guide for all environments including production · Work closely with DBA’s for database design, performance metrics and backup/recovery requirements. · Participate in unit, integration and performance testing for operational data store.
