Here is the Job Description: Job Title: Oracle Developer Location: Denver, CO Duration: 6+ month Responsibilities: Architecture, design and conversion activities for a mission critical MS SQL Server to Oracle conversion. Ownership of data and providing development team support. Analyzing complex data systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies in order to contribute to conceptual, logical and physical data models. Designing, developing and maintaining database schema and objects. Database performance monitoring and tuning for a SaaS application. Implementing best practices in database design and coding using PL/SQL Writes code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures, views, triggers, user defined functions and complex queries. Experience: 5-7 years Oracle database experience including database design, upgrades and performance tuning. 3 years MSSQL database experience including database design, upgrades and performance tuning. Experience in developing SaaS based product offerings with large scale multi-tenant database architecture. Experience in developing java based SOA applications. Advanced knowledge of Oracle based application design principles, practices, systems development and analysis. Experience designing complex Oracle database schemas. Writing complex queries that perform efficiently against very large amounts of data. Solid understanding of Oracle indexing options and use of views. Experience modeling and implementing abstract data concepts in Oracle. Experience developing and designing with ORM (hibernate) and data access layers. Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle; familiarity to scrum or Agile is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
