*Position: SharePoint Project Manager* *Location: Washington DC *
*Duration: 6+ month* *Description:* Our client is searching for a Senior Project Manager with recent experience in project management, requirements gathering and analysis, and validation/testing. Extensive experience working with IT systems would be extremely important, as the position leads initiatives related to a comprehensive portfolio of IT applications. The PM will be responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of complex and cross-functional project oriented work efforts. This position manages initiatives of significant strategic value with enterprise-wide impact. She/he will establish the project framework and project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. The position is responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. She/he partners with senior management from both the business community and IT to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. The position regularly communicates with executive leadership regarding project status and performance. Excellent communication and writing skills required and ability to facilitate meetings, gain consensus and document meeting notes/decisions *Skills Required :* Our client is currently utilizing SharePoint 2010 and they are preparing for an upgrade to SharePoint 2013. Must have a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience leading a SharePoint upgrade project is required. Must be able to create and deliver project plan and schedule, budget, weekly status reports and resource allocation.
