*Manage Unix computer systems including network, operating systems,
databases and the system side of the applications running on it. Manage
these systems in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. Work with
Senior Unix Administrators to achieve this goal if needed. Responsible for
all Unix administration activities. Responsible for assuring system
availability and performance of Unix systems. Provide support for customer
problems and requests. Little daily supervision required. Install, update
and maintain Applications, middleware, system management tools, operating
systems and networks in the Unix environment, Responsibility for day-to-day
operations of the Unix systems, Provide technical solutions for problems,
Provide and maintain documentation such as System Operations Guides or Work
Instructions describing local procedures, service level agreements, etc.,
Participate in medium to large projects, Able to effectively lead small
internal projects, Use ISO9000 procedures to complete tasks, Perform all
actions needed to fulfill the system management tasks described above. As
part of the Solutions design process this role will be responsible for
Installing and configuring Solaris/Linux Servers and VMs. In addition this
role will attend project meetings to provide updates for the build
activity. Role is also responsible for infrastructure build-out, testing
and turnover activities. This position will also be responsible to ensure
project activities and issues are tracked and addressed to ensure project
infrastructure deliveries remain on schedule. This role may also be
responsible for coordinating all project implementation activities and
resources including but not limited to the following technologies and
services. - Unix, Linux and Windows Server and Operating systems
infrastructure - Storage, Backup and Virtualization Services - Network,
SSL, Load balancer, Firewall and Security Infrastructures and Service -
Quality Gate submission and approvals - Pre Production Checklists, Post
checklist. Job Requirements Core technologies: Should have 3+ year
experience in Solaris/RHEL. Installing/configuring RHEL on HP DL385-DL585
servers installation/configuration of VMware clients Should be experienced
on Solaris Ldom/Zones installation and configuration. Should be experienced
in Jumpstaring Solaris servers and Kickstarting Linux servers. Knowledge of
Oracle client/DB. Working knowledge of EMC tools Knowledge of monitoring
tools (HPOV, Nagios). Familiar with Disaster Recovery Procedures Adding and
configuring external devices like San disks SAN storage, backups, fabric,
and fabric switching devices, HBAs Working knowledge of EMC tools:
powerpath, solutionenabler, Ecc Agent Should have deep understanding of
Infrastructure Architecture. Should have good understanding of Global Load
Balancer, Load Balancer, F5, DNS, Firewalls, LDAP UNIX/LINUX scripting
experience is plus.. Should have good understanding of high availability,
DR & BCP. Other responsibilities: Should have complete understanding from
provisioning, server builds, application middleware builds, firewalls, load
balancer, DNS. Should be able to provide inputs to Architects in project
designs. Should be able to co-ordinate between multiple teams. Main role of
this position would be to build and configure servers. Should be able to
work on multiple projects at any given time.*
