Position: BI Developer Location: Madison, NJ Duration: around 6 months (Contract to Hire) Rate: competitive Job Responsibilities: * Development, maintenance and administration of Cognos BI models, reports and dashboards * Installation, configuration and deployment of Cognos BI software solutions * Develop macros/create jobs/event schedules to automate report execution & delivery * Maintenance of Cognos security groups and accounts.Monitor queries and report behavior to assure performance expectations are met * Conduct data investigations and assist business partners with complex data analysis and ad-hoc queries * Development and administration of Cognos TM1 and Cognos EP * Address production issues and tickets within Cognos environment Basic Skills: * Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience * Five (5) years of hands on experience with Cognos 10 BI tools: Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Powerplay, Business Insight * Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 and above Additional Skills: * Understanding of Cognos BI distributed environment architecture * Understanding of RDBMS concepts, dimensional data modeling and Data Warehousing/DSS systems concepts * Strong knowledge of T-SQL * Knowledge of Cognos TM1 and/or EP software is a Plus * Knowledge of accounting/financial software or real estate industry * Good interpersonal skills * Strong customer service orientation Please let me know if you need any more information.
