*Position: SAP PLM Process Consultant*
*Location: Houston, TX*
*Industry: Petroleum *
*Duration: 12+ Months*
*Candidates with Oil & Gas Industry or consumer industry will be preferred.*
*Job Responsibilities: *
- Provide consulting on SAP MOC/ PLM ECR products, including product
capabilities (features and functions) and usage in the process industry.
- Support installation, configuration, testing, and implementation of
SAP MOC/ PLM ECR products in the Development and Acceptance environment
using Agile methodology
- MOC (Management of Change) Process Consultant / PLM ECR
*Objectives *
- Provide consulting on SAP MOC/ PLM ECR products, including product
capabilities (features and functions) and usage in the process industry
- Support installation, configuration, testing, and implementation of
SAP MOC/ PLM ECR products in the Development and Acceptance environment
using Agile methodology
Job Requirements:
*Required Areas of Expertise:*
- 5+ yrs. in process industry (Oil & Gas or Chemical) or consumer
product industry
- Experience working in a large organization, involving extended review
and stewardship procedures
- Ability to deliver configuration and business rules, and associated
required documentation
- SAP MOC area:
- Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 environment.
- Experience with SAP MOC or PLM / ECM, ECR or PM modules desired
- Design, configuration and unit testing experience in the following
areas:
- Management of Change
- Engineering change management
- Document management
- Experience in SAP Solution Manager desired
- Experience SAP Business Rules Framework Plus (BRF+)
*System Design Skills*
- Ability to support business process redesign with consulting on
industry practices and SAP tools
- Work with business experts to understand their requirements, guide and
advise them on best solution approach. Manage business experts with
confidence.
- Proven ability to collect business requirements, develop system
design, and apply SAP industry best practices, including
- Support of design / build workshop sessions globally
- Ability to balance local versus global perspective, perform synthesis
of gathered requirements information
- Ability to design and estimate efforts for configuration and
programming to address the requirements
- Ability to define and describe workable global process solution scope
and requirements, as well as define use cases for SAP MOC implementations
- Ability to write clear and detailed functional and technical design
documents in English, covering design for configuration items and custom
developments
- Ability to write test scenarios, end-user work instructions, and unit
and integrated test plans
- Experience in applying structured SAP implementation methodology
- Ability to configure SAP MOC and / or PLM / ECR
- Experience in conducting system tests, creating test cases,
documenting test results, preferably with working knowledge of HPQC
(Quality Center).
*General Skills*
- English fluency (spoken and written).
- Ability to handle multiple issues/tasks simultaneously with changing
priorities
- Ability to work effectively in an integrated fashion across multiple
teams, in a environment with broad cultural diversity and across different
time zones
- Ability to work effectively in virtual environments, utilizing audio
conference and online collaboration tools
- Need to be able to prioritize and work with various resources (project
internal & external) to get issues resolved
- Ability to communicate work progress across the project
- Ability to conduct requirement gathering and solution design
verification interviews
- Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-IT audience (such as
business subject matter experts)
- Presentation and system demonstration skills
*Expected Deliverables:*
- Support translation of Business Requirements into solution Functional
Requirements and detailed design documents
- Maintain Business Requirements traceability/linkage with business
cases elements and solution Functional Requirements
- Configure SAP MOC and PLM/ECR products
- Support/Consult on technical discussions with integration and
infrastructure teams
- Lead development of RICEFW definition document
- Support/Consult on To-Be system solution design, including systems
controls design
- Proactive knowledge sharing/training of project team members
