Title: Data Analyst Lead posted on 2014-03-03 09:32:18 Job Description:We are searching for a lead data analyst as a part of the Enterprise Services team within the IT Department. The Enterprise Services team provides software and data concept design and engineering services to IT department vertical's which support the larger firm Investor Services division. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in data design, definition and modelling in order to provide the team with a strong foundation for software and integration development. This position will work with business stakeholders to understand data concepts and relationships within their vertical/department and identify and map out related concepts as they relate to the larger enterprise. Candidates should also be familiar with methodologies for moving data, particularly via ETL processes. Experience with data warehousing and report development are also a plus. ·Strong data analysis experience. 5-7 years of database design experience with both relational and dimensional modelling techniques. 5-7 years of experience in software development and/or business system implementation. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills Passionate, results-oriented and deadline driven Experience with Agile Project Management Methodologies preferred Familiarity with Financial Services, Venture Capital/Private Equity industry a plus BS in Computer Science or similar discipline Experience in developing Transactional, ODS, and DW databases. Experience with MS SQL Server 2008 and above. Must have a good understanding of data relationships and a strong command of SQL syntax. Experience with extract, transform, and load (ETL) development. Experience with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS. Experience in writing technical documentation (design documents, data flow diagrams, solutions architecture, etc.) XML Schema Definition Language knowledge a plus.
