*Responsibilities*
Creates user interfaces (UI) targeting multiple platforms (web & mobile)
that are intuitive, engaging, efficient and incorporate the latest
principles of user experience development.
Conceptualizes and creates engaging display ads for Google, Facebook and
other ad networks.
Designs and executes email campaigns and newsletters in support of new
student recruitment and general communications.
Solicits requirements and executes the entire design lifecycle, including
wire frames, mockups and final graphics packages ready for deployment.
Designs and implements UI modifications and enhancements.
Develops and maintains documentation including process flow diagrams,
personas, user experience guidelines and style guides.
Partners with communications colleagues and third-party graphic designers
to optimize the appearance and navigability of websites.
Reviews ongoing customer feedback and web traffic data; implements
interactive changes based on data to drive improved results.
*Requirements*
Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, interface design, media
arts or related field from an institution accredited by an accrediting
agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
At least three years experience developing and producing front end user
interfaces for dynamic web-based applications and building Web 2.0 social
and collaborative applications. Expertise in HTML (XHTML), CSS and Flash.
Efficiently utilize a personal computer and related software including
Microsoft Office, internet proficiencies and related departmental software.
Experience in organizing and writing reports of a technical nature. Able
to communicate results to all levels of employees with varying degrees of
technical knowledge.
Proven experience in solving complex problems for individuals or teams.
Experience with analyzing and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of
options and exercising critical thinking, problem solving, and judgment
skills.
Strong work ethic, as well as the ability to prioritize and complete all
job responsibilities in a timely manner.
Proven record of multi-tasking and ability to handle a high pressure
environment with significant timeline pressures.
Past history of developing constructive and cooperative working
relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
Able to enjoy the challenge of working with technology in a rapidly
changing environment.
Working well under pressure with a strong focus on delivery with
quality; self-motivated and requires minimal supervision.
* Can effectively manage multiple tasks and deliver, while still
keeping a healthy attitude.
* Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
(requirements analysis, high level design, detailed design, coding, unit
test, integration, system level test)
