*Project Server Specialist*
*Rates: $60/hr on C2C*
*Location: Houston TX*
*Description*
The Project Server Specialist will participates as a member
of development platform team, which supports BizTalk, SharePoint, Project
Server, IIS and other development platforms. The team supports the
deployment and production operations of B2B/A2A interfaces, SharePoint
native and custom application, Project Server implementations and IIS/.Net
web applications.
*Responsibilities*
- Design, implement, manage and support the Project Server 2010
Environment
- Act as *Project Server Administrator*
- Design and configure Project Server to meet customer needs
- Train existing team members to support and configure Project Server
- Document and follow standard operation procedures, deployment
procedures, disaster recovery procedures.
- Participate 24X7 oncall support for various development platforms and
application.
- Collaborate with various IT teams to troubleshoot operating system,
network, security issues and lead to problem solving.
- Collaborate with technical development to ensure the supportability
and performance of applications developed. Assist and guide development
team with platform knowledge and best practices for performance and high
availability.
- Work with IT functional development team and business unit to assess
business impact and corrective measures for production issues.
- Participate and lead research and coordinate exploratory work across
teams to implement new technology and technical upgrades.
- Monitor incident management queue. Efficiently resolve, report and
close active application issues.
- Continuously improve platform performance, reliability and
supportability.
*Qualifications*
- 3 or more years of experience with *Microsoft Project Server 2010* in
development or support. Detailed knowledge of key Project Server
architecture and functionality
- 5 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office *SharePoint Server
2007 or SharePoint 2010* in development or support. Detailed knowledge
of key SharePoint architecture and functionality.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008 in
networking, security, monitoring etc.
- 5 or more years of experience *with IIS6/II7, .Net 2.0* and above for
development or support.
- Working experience with *Microsoft FAST* Search engine a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft development technologies such
as *C#, VB.Net <http://VB.Net>, SQL Server.*
- Good verbal and written communication skills, technical leadership
skills.
- Proactive, diligent and detail oriented work habits.
- Drives standardization and proactively recommends improvements.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or
other information technology related major.
