*Sr. Business Analyst*

*6 month contract plus*

Works directly with all levels of personnel, including external customers
and vendors.
• Works with business and technology areas to define scope, assist with
cost/benefit analysis, and define business specifications.
• Provides analysis, recommendations, consultation, and expert subject
matter advice.
• Assists business partners with project definition, requirements
definition, user testing and training.
• Accountable for creating or contributing to documentation of
requirements, design, testing, implementation, post production validation,
and audit deliverables using accepted concepts, standards, and best
practices.
• Works closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and
functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs
and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs.
• Participates in testing, quality assurance, implementation and post
production validation activities
• Runs queries and analyzes data using a variety of tools and methods.
• Resolves a variety of complex problems and questions.

Qualifications

*• 5+ years business systems analyst experience or equivalent. • No less
than 3-5 years of P&C or Specialty (Non-Life) Insurance industry
experience. Experience should include Business Systems
Analyst*participation on projects which involved the development of
all aspects of
new specialty insurance line, including IT systems support and business
processes.
• Strong knowledge of information systems technologies including
client/server, AS400, and/or web applications and systems.
• Ability to perform database queries and analysis utilizing SQL, AS400 or
similar database structures
• Proven experience as a senior business systems analyst on multiple large
projects from inception through completion.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills; working
with all levels of management.
• Experience in gathering and documenting business and technical
requirements in an information technology department or technology based
company.
• Strong facilitation and meeting management skills.
• Experience in full system development life cycle (SDLC) processes and
methodologies.
• Good knowledge of project management concepts, methodologies and tools.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Project, Visio,
Powerpoint

Desired Skills
• Programming and/or quality assurance background using client/server,
AS400 and/or web platforms
• Experience with the WINS policy administration platform, Guidewire claims
and ImageRight document management preferred
