Desired degrees: Geography, Geographic information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Photogrammetric, or a related field. 4+ years demonstrated experience with geospatial information systems and spatial database design and development 8+ years DBA and spatial DBA experience (Oracle, SQL Server, PostGres/PostGIS) Good understanding of Datums, Projections, Geodesy, Vector data formats (Shape Files, GML), Raster data formats (JPEG 2k, GeoTIFF, NITF) and relevant geospatial technologies Strong knowledge of image formats, image processing, orthorcertification, mosaicing, reprojection, math models, etc. Experience with open-source (e.g. GDAL/OGR) and commercial GIS software. Understanding of Windows systems and scripting languages (power shell, Python). Understanding of Linux systems and scripting languages (bash, Perl) a plus. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 2012 or later Software Suite: Minimum: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Strong Customer Service soft skills and technical customer facing experience Fluent English written and verbal skills Please let me know if you need any more information.
