We are looking for like-minded individuals who want to build on their existing technical skills with detailed knowledge of VOIP network operations and systems. Our Operations teams are responsible for the following business functions: - Supporting Product Engineering teams on Application and network architecture - Interface and Support of Product Development technology and feature introduction from an Operations perspective - Production Operations testing of new CPE, applications, services, etc. and support of Test Quality Assurance (labs) - Interoperability and interconnection testing in the Production enviroment - Operations guidelines and design documentation (QoS, performance, reliability, security, scalability, VOIP, etc.) - Design Documentation - Requirements Definition - Vendor selection and management from an operations perspective We are looking for a motivated and talented technical engineer who has experience and familiarity with several technologies including Application Development, VOIP protocols and technologies, LINUX operating systems. Examples of job responsibilities include: - Script and/or software development for VoIP application integration, operational tools and engineering projects. - Operations focused analysis and design documentation based on Product Requests and Requirements - Support Product Engineering with Systems architecture planning, system implementation guidelines, and engineering guidelines - Lab testing, design, and architecture work Core Responsibilities Core Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities regularly performed and normally assigned to this position are as follows: - The ability to interface well with customers (internal and external) - The ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision while maintaining a positive attitude under a frequently changing workload and schedule. - Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills - Ability and desire to learn and teach - Ability to work both independently as well as on teams - Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment - Organizational and multi-tasking skills In addition to the above, this position requires great communication, teaming and "self-starter" skills.
