Title: Need Software Tester posted on 2014-04-23 11:13:38 Job Description:Position Title: Software Tester Location: Houston TX Duration: Long term Rate: DOE Position Overview Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: * Report on QA deliverables and metrics, including defect reports and QA exit/turnover documentation. * Validates test strategy, design, and execution is within established guidelines * May serve as an advisor or be accountable for peer/test reviews * Validate understanding of Architecture by working closely with Architect before finalizing SIT and Staging Environments * Provides input into QA Health status of releases/projects * Coach/mentoring software testers on the team to help perform the Software Tester role successfully. * Ensures team is evaluating software development for Invention disclosure [IP] * Serve as liaison between on-shore and off-shore software testing resources * Negotiates the scope of testing within iteration cycles and releases * Provides SWAGs for Release Level Planning Purposes * Identify and coordinate automation activities * Leads defect Triage Process within the Scrum Team * Articulates testing implications of different solutions * Facilitates setup and configuration of test environment * Coordinate test activities to support patches * Works closely with Product Specialists/End-Users to understand the Application and how it is used. * Follow and contribute to Agile/SCRUM activities (e.g. daily stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration planning, estimating/reporting, acceptance criteria definition, etc.) * Collaborate with other Test Leads to understand requirements and technical implications * Identify, document, and reproduce defects in software and systems * Assists in managing bugs through the bug/triage process * Obtain, modify, and maintain data required for testing * Support activities such as patches and Tier III support * Works closely with an automation testing team in identifying candidates for automation * Working closely with an automation team in certifying automation scripts * Works closely with the Architect and CM Team by actively engaging with identifying environmental needs for the testing team and the initial set-up of the environments * Execute automation tests for the purpose of supporting regression testing activities * Participate in identifying Creation of Test Plans as it relates to Feature Functionality Implementation * Will be managing Global teams Requirements and Qualifications: Job Requirements: Technical skills needed: * 5+ years in a Multi-tier Window Client/Server environment (must provide examples of designing testing scenarios related to their environment) * 5+ years' experience in test plan and manual test case design, creation, bug tracking * Must be able to perform backend database validation using SQL test scripts (could be in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) * Must be able to describe the web services (SOAP, REST) they have designed and tested where the UI was not readily available * Hands-on experience with setting up and deploying a System Integration Testing (SIT) environment * Experience reviewing Software Functional/Non-Functional Requirements and User Acceptance Criteria and designing a testing strategy * Can participate in requirements gathering session for closing gaps in the User Acceptance Criteria * Can utilize your advanced IT skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integrated environments * Can propose and design a System Integration Testing Environment based off the high-level architecture Non-technical skills needed: * Stable work history * Ability to pass background check * Self-motivated and capable of independent work with minimal direction. * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Preferred Skills/Abilities * UNIX or Linux testing experience * Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/156051> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
