Looking forward to hear from you... *Role: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)* *Location: Austin, TX* *Duration: 6 Months.* *Rate: $/hr on C2C All Incl.* *NOTE: *They need someone who does testing and hands on experience on .net. *Description:* The team needs individuals with deep software test engineering knowledge to guide and deliver a high-volume, highly personalized e-commerce experience. We are looking for the most senior candidates who have a strong background in engineering test methodologies, with proven abilities to innovate and be creative. We are looking for highly motivated, goal-oriented individuals who will be responsible for building highly visible, highly available, and customer facing E-Commerce solutions. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in object-oriented programming and experience in large multi-national corporations. Candidates will be familiar with Microsoft technologies, and will have worked on very large web sites dealing with very high volumes. *Responsibilities:* · Writes unit and automated test for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers. · Candidate should have strong programming, debugging experience, and excellent problem solving skills. · White box testing experience. · Works with clients and Business Analysts to determine software test requirements and system impacts. · Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests. · Mentors junior SDETs in industry best practices, procedures, and concepts. · Is responsible for ensuring quality of their work as well as the work of the entire development team. · Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments. · Works closely with the global development team, Solution Architects, and the Online Product Engineering group to plan ongoing feature development, product maintenance, and management of development teams. · Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability. · Logs defects and makes recommendations to address defects. · Development responsibilities include doing code review / bug analysis, analyzing development and test impacts, writing test tools and identifying automation opportunities. · Work closely with Development and Product management teams to provide feedback on design (functional and technical) and user scenarios. · Drive improvements in unit testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, expand automated testing harness and automate scenarios/cases. *Qualifications:* · At least 5+ years of experience in various phases of testing, designing, and developing complex enterprise applications, including automation test development using Microsoft technologies. · C# knowledge. · Expertise in most of the following –Web API (MS ASP.Net), MVC, WCF, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, REST, JQuery, .Net Framework, C#, Web Services. · Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information effectively to both IT and business audiences. · Knowledge of Agile methodology. · Familiar with Unit Test, Mock, Test Driven Development etc. · Ability to perform system-wide root cause analyses and drive improvements.
