*Position Title: Network / Linux Engineer* *Network Engineer - Infoblox* *Duration: 6 Months + (likely multiple extensions)* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Interview : Phone.* *Description* *Tasks to be Performed* Experience with day-to-day *DNS/DHCP* and IP Management request fulfillment, the operations of an Infoblox infrastructure, the architecture and design of Infoblox infrastructure improvements. Strong knowledge of Infoblox systems administration to operate and maintain connected systems and scripts. Create PERL scripts and other automation solutions to aid in the timely and error-free completion of migration and integration tasks. Fundamental knowledge of network design and engineering for the implementation of DDI service requests, as well as additional duties as a network engineer for basic projects and requests. Additional Responsibilities include the following: fulfilling IP requests; consulting to determine technical needs; support DHCP connectivity issues; administration and preventative maintence on Infoblox DHCP/DNS and NetMRI toolset; create and maintain automated IP assignment procedures using Infoblox API and toolset integratation, for example: SPM data into IPAM. Create comprehensive engineering documentation including functional requirements, technical designs, network diagrams, workflow diagrams, application communications diagrams, configuration documents, support documentation,procedural documentation, training materials, and some project documents. Work a flexible schedule that includes normal business hours with occasional after-hours work. *Skillset Details* PERL, Unix shell, and/or other scripting and automation skills Knowledge of *TCP/IP* network protocols, *DNS, **DHCP*Working knowledge of network tools including *DNS, DHCP, Infoblox, NetMRI*, *Switch Port Manager*. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
