We have contract opportunity for a Network Security Engineer. The project is in Columbia, SC for 6+ months. Renewable *MUST possess experience with Juniper's SSL/VPN MAG 2600, 4510 or 6611 and or MUST have experience with Juniper's SRX240 running in cluster mode. * *Skype/Telephone Interview* *Rate: $ Best Competitive rate* - Incumbents will serve as Network Security Engineers for DTO/Network Services/Network Security. Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network security devices in the Local Area, Wide Area and Metropolitan Area Networks. - Will test new and modify network security configurations hardware and software. - Will provide network security consulting services to other state agencies. - Analyze data to provide solutions to complex problems and assist in resolving issues. - Will fulfill work orders from the Service Desk. - Maintains services, applications, and operating systems for network security devices and to ensure network security devices are maintained to a high level of security. - Candidate must possess experience with Cisco's 5500-X Series (5525-x and 5585-x preferred) running in a multi-context environment and/or *must possess experience with Juniper's SSL/VPN MAG 2600, 4510 or 6611 and or must have experience with Juniper's SRX240 running in cluster mode. * - Candidate must have proficient oral and written communication skills. - Must be able to work on projects individually or part of a team. - Must possess a valid Class-D Driver's license. - Will be required to pass a SLED (SC State Law Enforcement Division) Criminal Background Check prior to employment. - Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. - Candidate will be required to be on-call 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule for the length of the contract. - Candidate must be able to be on-site, if needed, within 30 minutes of being contacted. - Candidate must be able to climb or crawl into confined spaces and be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Some in-state travel may be required. - These positions are located within the Division of Technology Operations (DTO). *Name Level Last Used Experience * CISCO ASA 5500-x Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years Juniper SRX240 Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years Juniper SSL Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years Juniper VPN MAG 2600 Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years Juniper VPN MAG 4510 Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years Juniper VPN MAG 6611 Intermediate Within 2 Years 2 - 4 Years * Additional Skills:* Installation, configuration and administration of CISCO ASA 5500-x.
