Tier 1 Systems Analyst Job Description:-

The Tier 1 Systems Analyst is responsible for effective provisioning,
installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware
and software and related infrastructure to ensure service levels and
quality are maintained for Windows Phone Services   This person will
provide support through incident management software to restore service
operations as quickly as possible and minimize impact to services.
Responsible to resolve or escalate issues to T2, communicate outages and
maintain working relationships with partner groups during outages.


This position requires four days a week at 10 hours per day or directed by
a Microsoft manager.  This position will be a 3rd shift 9pm to 7am
Wed-Saturday within 2 months of hire for a minimum of 1 year on this shift.
•        Provide Tier 1 incident management support in 24/7 for physical
machines, virtual and azure based services to document incidents,
resolution and begin root cause analysis
•        Direct adhoc responses to customer inquiries via the teams
mailboxes
•        Ensure service availability and performance meet published SLA’s
•        Other duties as assigned by Microsoft manager
•        Responsible for daily reporting and shift hand off


Requirements
•        1 year experience working in server support operations or call
center completing incident management using a ticketing system
•        General knowledge of installed hardware/software systems, networks
and peripherals
•        Experience with active directory in mid to large sized network
environments
•        Knowledge of basic SQL and power shell or scripting commands
•        Ability to interpret application and security logs
•        2+ Years Windows Server 2003/2008 Enterprise Support (>100 server
environment).
•        Microsoft certifications preferred
•        Service Management process knowledge including incident, problem
and change management
•        Strong customer service orientation
•        Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations,
changes in direction or priority
•        Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with little to no
forewarning
•        Demonstrated ability to react quickly, and perform exceptionally
during critical/catastrophic events
•        Be able to work independently and as well as in a team environment
