Here is the role in a bit more detail: Will go through end of year, and then possible extension after that point. *Description of Project:* The program is an enterprise-wide Oracle Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (DW) initiative. The scope includes an enterprise BI reporting solution using Oracle’s pre-packaged analytics applications and extensions across multiple systems including PeopleSoft Financials, PowerPlant, Maximo Enterprise Asset Management, PeopleSoft Human Resources and others. This role will be as a BA embedded on the scrum team that implements our BI solution for Enterprise Asset Management. *Desired Deliverables:* This role will be responsible for various deliverables across the BI project lifecycle. This BA must be able to quickly gain a solid understanding of operations, goals and challenges of the organization and recommend BI reporting and metric solutions to meet business needs. By pairing a consultative approach with IT, industry and organizational knowledge this role will guide the work of the BI development team to build reporting solutions that satisfy complex needs. They will work within a team of IT professionals to design, develop, maintain, and support Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) applications and the underlying Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Ultimately, the goal will be to develop solid working relationships with peers and clients and improve business performance via new strategic insights, business scorecards, actionable information, standardized reports and metrics and automated delivery of information to stakeholders. Accountabilities: Responsible for developing the backlog of user stories and acceptance criteria that represent the requirements to the development team. Responsible for identifying scope and translating business requirements for the implementation of DW / BI dashboards, reports and metrics. Thorough understanding of the processes, drivers, goals and procedures of the business units supported. Ability to identify and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to help manage the business areas supported. Create and manage trusted advisor relationships between clients and IT through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Assist project management in defining the detailed tasks, milestones, and deliverables that meet stated project objectives. Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for responsible deliverables and solutions. Resolve issues as they arise, escalate to project management appropriately and ensure proper communication of resolutions to the business. Provide leadership and influence acceptance of approach and solutions by peers and clients. Ability to assess situations and determine appropriate action or solution.
