This is a jr-mid level developer. They should have 2-5 years of experience and be proficient with C#. *This is a 3-6 month contract with high potential for extensions for an eCommerce Application Developer in the Chicagoland area (can sit in either Vernon Hills or Downtown Chicago).* Client is looking for 3 Junior to Mid level eCommerce Application developers to join their team to help support a multitude of projects that are in their pipeline. The current team of 10 resources combines to support the client's eCommerce website, as well as their Configuration Services team. For the eCommerce support, the team works closely with marketing, to develop/customize anything requested as it may pertain to features and functionality. This is purely application development, with the Marketing group responsible for Design, UX, etc. For the configuration services support, the team works closely with the Config team to support 12 applications (varying in size) that range from tracking shipments to processing inventory on new orders. Many of these applications are homegrown. An example of a project in the pipeline is: Client is working with a large customer to help enable the customer's thousands of branches to engage with the eCommerce site to help standardize hardware across the company. All the logistics of this endeavor, from billing issues to the coding of the site itself fall into the project scope. Required: Bachelor's degree in CS or other IT field, OR equivalent IT experience 3-5 years experience in application development Expert in C# development Experience using other technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP, Web Services, XML, SQL Server. Experience with CSS, Javascript, and layouts and Web 2.0 UI behaviors is a plus. Skilled in three-tier Web application development Experience working with ecommerce teams and applications is a big plus Experience with testing is a huge plus! MUST have good communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
