Warehousing/DataMarts, Master Data Management, as well as conceptual and
physical design of large database models *
*Job Description:*
*Duties: *
As part of IS group function as Business Analyst for Commercial Data and
provide support for Business Intelligence and Analytics projects in Sanofi.
Responsible for eliciting and documenting business and functional
requirements for business processes and applications.
Elicit, author, review and verify the following documentation: Business
Requirements, Functional Specifications, Data Flow Diagrams, Logical and
Physical data models, Technical Specifications, Data Migration, Training,
Operation’s Handoff etc.
Author documents related to Test Plan(s), Test Strategy, and Test Evidence
Design test scenarios and test scripts; tailor testing strategy to meet
client requirements. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure
requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working
technical designs and that test plans/scripts serve customer needs.
Follow Sanofi documentation methodology
Be a point contact for all project documentation inquiries for
operational and project staff
Contribute documentation expertise to matrix projects involving
multiple internal and external constituents
Interface with various team members in the development and
documentation of business requirements, process analysis and planning
Serve as a liaison among multiple teams, organize team meetings and/or
work sessions to produce quality documentation
Document existing and develop new processes to optimize data exchange
among systems
Provide regular verbal and written project communications/updates
regarding status and issues.
Evaluates the quality, completeness of data and the potential impact to
the project

Strong Experience in gathering business requirements, use case
requirements, design, process flows, story boarding
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills - collect, organize,
interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports
Expertise in software design lifecycle and overall system engineering
Experienced in design and facilitation of requirements elicitation
workshops, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, or other similar
requirements discovery sessions
Experienced in diagramming and modeling during requirements gathering
sessions using techniques such as activity diagramming, use cases, and
flowcharts
Experience in hosting Workshops for Requirements gathering
Experience working in Pharma and/or Healthcare industries strongly preferred
Proficient in Software Development Life Cycle for ETL Data Warehouse
Experience in data warehousing concepts - Strong background in Data
Warehousing/DataMarts, Master Data Management, as well as conceptual and
physical design of large database models
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical commercial data – Health Care Providers, Health
Care Organizations, SFA data, etc. preferred.
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project,
and SharePoint)
Experience with Oracle & Microsoft Access
Computer Validation experience desired
Experience in Project Management of IT projects in Pharmaceutical
environment preferred
*Education: *
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field.
7+ years of experience as a business/system/data analyst
