The project needs resources who are strong in core java, hibernate and struts.*** *ROLE: Senior Java Developer* *Skills Required* • *Seven (7) years* of progressively complex experience and advanced-level skill in analysis, design and programming, three (3) of which must have been in a technical lead position. • Baccalaureate-level degree in relevant technical specialty, such as computer science, management information systems, computer engineering, software engineering OR certification in software engineering disciplines, such as IEEE Certified Software Development Professional, Certified Java Developer, etc. • Must have working knowledge of all *Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)* activities, including, requirements, design, Coding, Unit Testing, Deployment and Maintenance • Expert level skills in Web development using *XML, XSL, HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, and/or CSS* • Expert level skills relational database design, including SQL programming • Understands the architecture and design specifications and develop Java/J2EE based multi-layer web applications. Must have hands on experience of custom programming in Java/J2EE and JSPs that uses JSF or STRUTS frameworks • Must have experience using development environments *such as Eclipse, Rational Application Developer, etc.* • Strong working experience on Java technologies and frameworks such as *Spring, Hibernate, AJAX, Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS), Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), etc.* • Experience as a Java Application Developer (development, Unit testing using tools such as JUnit/Easy-Mock and diagnostics tools such as Wily Introscope and jProbe) • Must have working experience in web application development using JSP • Strong working experience of Oracle technologies, and data modeling and design • Experience with database access tools such as *TOAD for Oracle, SQL Developer 3.0, TOra for Linux 2.0.0* • Expert level knowledge in patterns and *frameworks such as Struts 2, Spring, Hibernate, and MVC* • Expert level knowledge in SOA/ Web Services implementation. • Hands on experience and understanding of development methodologies such as SCRUM (preferred) *Roles and Responsibilities* • Functions as expert developer in one or more technical areas of the client application • Reviews and analyzes change requests to determine the scope of work and estimate the level of effort for application changes. Writes detailed technical specifications for changing application components based on business requirements and high level designs • Provides problem resolution support, specific to application issues; identifies and resolves problems in application software, determines symptoms and ensures accurate problem definition • Applies Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts (including UML use cases, class diagrams, and interaction diagrams) • Designs, codes, unit tests, unit integration tests, and maintains application components based on detailed design specifications solutions to meet user requirements • Develops unit and unit integration test plans and procedures.
