*Duration: 18+ Months*
*Start Date: ASAP*

*JOB Description:*
Developing new enhancements to a large insurance application … Multiple
tracks of work … working on the largest custom developed Property and
Casualty system in the US … New development is involved here (not just
maintenance/bug fixes)

*Here are the technologies we are seeking …*

·        Object Oriented Java coder who writes structured code (Very
important!)
·        Experience working by themselves with little help from others
·         Core Java (1.6 minimum) - *have to be really strong in this*.
·         JSP
·         JSF
·         JavaScript (jQuery)
·         Spring/Hibernate (at least an understanding of what an ORM is?)
·         Struts 2.0
·         XML parsing
·         Ajax
·         Basic SQL
·         Junit
·         EJB3.0, JMS, MDB’s (preferred but not required)
·         Webservices (REST/SOAP)
·         SVN
·         Maven
·         Understanding of Design Pattern’s
·         Camel(Preferred but not required)
·        Certifications are a plus.  Please provide Certification #
·        Will be required to take a written test.  This test will be
written where you need to write a sample Object Oriented Java program which
will include: multiple account types, object oriented code (using objects),
test classes, no user input,
·        9 0r 10/10 comm skills REQUIRED!
·        Must have projects that have been over 1 year each prefer 2 year +
·        Minimum 8 years of Java/J2EE

1.       Need basic understanding of design patterns, JDBC calls, SQL,
Hibernate … work with both front end (JSP / Struts) and back end elements
2.       Someone who has worked in a formal / validated environment is a
good fit
3.       Cultural traits of successful candidates … collaborate, team
players, consulting experience
4.       Most difficult aspect of this job … application is large and very
complex … significant ramp-up time is required.
