• Own, design and deliver significant development projects for the Core
Aggregation team

• Gain business expertise on client data to inform all design decisions

• Mentor others to ensure knowledge transfer and quality of deliverables

• Pro-actively identify opportunities for data or process improvements

• Use formal Client training and mentoring from more experienced colleagues
to improve your personal skillset to enable taking on more responsibility
and further career development in a growing team

• Identify, design and drive technical or process solutions to data or
business problems in such a way that they can be used across many or all of
our data warehouses

• Convert business, functional and non-functional requirements into
effective design briefs aligned with reusability and cost effectiveness in
mind

Responsible for

The Aggregates Core Development role is the traditional developer role in
the systems development life cycle model. The role requires an individual
that can understand complex business requirements and then must be capable
of doing program design, coding, and unit testing in Oracle PL/SQL to
satisfy those requirements



WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• The developer must have 3 to 5 years of writing advanced PL/SQL in a
large dimensional data warehouse.

• Efficient programming practices

Desirable

• Unix shell programming

• Data modeling



KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Essential

• The developer must be familiar with reading entity relationship diagrams
and have table/view/index design experience

• The developer must have experience with performance tuning of PL/SQL and
SQL code.



Desirable

• Business knowledge, particularly informing business decisions based on
data

• Good data warehouse design

• Experienced in architectural decisions

• Experience of generic solutions
