*Level 3 Network Data Engineer* *Location is Richmond, VA*
*Duration: 3 – 4 weeks (short term)* 6-8 years of work experience Immediate need •Manages delivery team of L2 Engineers •Performs Root Cause Analysis •Tracks and updates key performance metrics •Acts as point of contact for all service delivery issues/ pending work/ escalations •Provide team support and process improvements through individual contributions •Handles escalations •Participates in routine operational meetings •Routing and Switch protocols: BGP, EIGRP, VLAN, CDP, VTP, STP, RIP, RSTP, WLAN, MPLS •Knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco ACE Load balancer, Riverbed WAN optimizer, Packet Shaper •Good understanding of Wireless technologies with exposure to Cisco and Aruba wireless products •Good understanding in QoS concepts •Responsible for EIGRP and BGP routing protocols as well as traffic shaping and packet prioritization •Identify and resolve high-level network issues including complex routing issues in a mixed protocol environment •Monitor and track network performance to determine problem areas and proactively develop solutions •Harden and monitor network security and take proactive measures to protect against new threats •Create and update network drawings, standards and procedures •Participate in rotating “on call” schedule with other members of the team - **No night shift required. Only on-call for any critical P1 kind of incidents •Provide Level 3 support.
