Seeking a candidate with 3+ years experience in ASP.Net and jquery to
design and support complex clinical applications. Candidate must have
extremely strong technical skills and be able to thrive in a fast paced,
dynamic environment. The candidate must participate in all phases of
software lifecycle development, particularly in the analysis and design of
technical specifications, coding, testing and implementation.
The person in this position will be responsible for working on application
enhancements for the Online Peer Review Program (OPRP). The successful
candidate will be fluent in MS Entity Framework as well as ASP.NET and
Jquery. They will be working with MS SQL Server 2008, with C# being the
baseline. Prior healthcare experience is very helpful but not necessarily
required.
This individual will work closely with the software engineers, project
managers, analysts and other staff to assist in the architecture, design
and development of various enterprise web-based applications. Excellent
communication and technical writing skills are a must.
Activities include meeting with end-users to define their needs,
understanding departmental operations, preparing detailed functional
requirements, working individually and with other programmers to develop
code, writing test plans and testing software, supporting implementation,
compiling and analyzing data, and providing on-going support. As new
projects arise, this person may assume other responsibilities.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities*
Indicate

the year and included in the written annual evaluation.
- Confers with designated analysts and project managers - develops
technical proposals.
- Designs, builds, implements and supports enterprise wide clinical
software systems and services.
- Participates in all phases of software lifecycle development,
particularly in coding, testing, implementation and support.
- Ability to iteratively develop, deploy and test according to given
software specifications.
- Writes technical requirements documents.
- Assists other members of the team with technical support in the
development and implementation of system projects as needed.
- Participation in on call duties when necessary.
- Performs all other duties as required.
*Qualifications* (MUST be realistic, neither overstated nor
understated, and related to the essential function of the job).
- Bachelor Degree in computer science or related experience.
- 5+ years of experience of related IT experience.
- 3+ years of development experience required, preferably in healthcare.
*Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required* (MUST be realistic, neither
overstated nor understated, and related to the essential function of the
job).
- Experience developing Asp.NET applications using C#.
- Experience with relational databases required, preferably MS SQL
Server.
- Experience with web technology: JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery/JSON, XML,
IIS administration.
- Experience with web service architecture and web application design
required.
