*Position Description*
*Threat and Vulnerability Analyst 3*
*Key Responsibilities*
- Run day to day operations of vulnerability scanning, reporting and
remediation efforts
- Coordinate, perform and document cyber security vulnerability scans
- Customize reports on vulnerability findings to facilitate remediation
projects
- Collaborate with asset owners and the business for timely remediation
and patch coordination
- Produce vulnerability metrics to demonstrate remediation effectiveness
and how risk is being reduced
- Ensure that vulnerability management Service Level Agreements are
defined, tracked, and met
- Coordinate with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Incident Response to
identify and remediate gaps
*Experience*
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in threat and vulnerability
management, web application security, or cyber threat intelligence
- Experience with large scale environments corporate environments
- 3+ years using vulnerability scanners-- Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, etc.
Rapid7 experience a plus.
*Skill Requirements*
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to
effectively communicate to all levels of staff up to executive-level
management, customers (internal and external), and vendors.
- A broad and thorough understanding of cyber-security threats,
vulnerabilities, security controls and remediation strategies
- Strong technical knowledge in information technology, to include
hardware, networking, protocols, files systems and operating systems.
- Be available for on-call duty on a periodic basis
*Education & Certifications*
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider 5+ years of work
experience
- Prefer one or more of the following, or similar certs:
- GEVA, GCIH, GSEC, GPEN, GWAPT
- CISSP
- Security+
