We still have the same jobs that I sent late last week except for #3856
Software Developer Engineer Tester, as we have filled that position. We do
still have #4098 Software Developer Engineer Tester.





To save time and move the process along faster, when you submit a Consultant
to me please include all of the items listed below:

·         A Word document of their resume with full name and contact
information so I can enter them into our system. I will keep you in the loop
with any correspondence between myself and the Consultant.

·         *4-5 bullet points that describe how their experience matches up
with the requirements of the position. I am going to have to get these
before I can submit the resume to the client so it saves time if I have
these up front. I can still get them from the candidate but that usually
causes us to have to wait an extra day while the candidate writes the
bullets and then emails them to me. ***

·         Their availability for an interview – how much notice does the
Consultant need to do a phone interview and how much notice for a
face-to-face interview.

·         Their availability to start work upon receiving an offer.

·         The Bill Rate. Please remember that Protingent Staffing does not
cover *any* expenses, including traveling for a face-to-face interview. Your
Bill Rate will need to take this into effect, especially if the Consultant
is not local to the client's location as a lot of clients are requiring
face-to-face interviews after an initial phone interview. We are seeing more
and more that clients do not give us the rates they want to pay, they want
us to submit candidates and they will review based on experience and the
bill rate. If I get rates, I will let you know what range we have to work
with. If I do not have a rate listed, then I did not get rates from the
client and you will have to use your professional judgment on how high or
low to go with the rate.

*Job: 4059 - Senior Level UI Developer*

*We are looking for a candidate with specific experience in Client / Server
development, C#. NET 2.0 building custom UI control.

This position will consist of:*

·          *Participate in dynamic development / testing team to create
high-quality, highly interactive user experience applications based on the
.NET 2.0 platform *

·          *Develop and contribute to a security monitoring application
providing video streaming, device control and management capabilities *

·          *Development of user-interfaces in accordance with supplied
wire-frames*

·          *Usage of purchased library .NET 2.0 components*

·          *Development on new .NET 2.0 components when existing elements

*Job: 4098 - Software Developer Engineer Tester / SDET*

*6-12 Month Contract*

*Location: Mountain View, CA*

*SDET Activities: Develop, design, plan, and deliver on schedule for Mac
Office test engineering. C/C++ and script-level automation (e.g.:
AppleScript), create test plans, support developers, open and regress bugs,
and provide an accurate measurement of quality of all owned features through
email and scheduled project meetings. Drive testing of assigned features by
developing a test plan. Escalate any risks to quality of product
deliverables to the management team.

Some development of unit tests but not much.

Work with PM, Dev, and Test to evaluate the existing codebase of owned
features to scope new work appropriately. Provide an accurate itemized
estimate of test man-hour cost necessary to provide a complete analysis of
the quality of all owned features to the management team. Review and analyze
all relevant PM, Dev, and Test specs for completeness and testability.

Create test specs that accurately reflect all areas of owned features that
require testing before release. Develop test cases that, when executed, will
allow for an accurate measurement of quality of all owned features. Achieve
signoff by applicable members of the feature team on the test spec and all
test cases.

Design and develop unit, integration, and script-level automated tests for
all owned features. Design and develop all necessary supporting libraries if
applicable to owned features. Create a design document for all tests and
libraries, and achieve signoff on all test design specifications. Achieve
code review signoff on all tests developed.

Analyze and debug all test case and automated test failures. Report and file
bugs that accurately reflect the nature of the failure and the overall
customer impact of the issue. Provide additional information to applicable
parties if requested. Work with dev to reproduce failures. Regress all bugs
to verify their status once fixed.

Provide an accurate measure of feature quality to all interested parties on
a scheduled and on-demand basis. Have working knowledge of all high-impact
bugs currently affecting all owned features. Work with Dev and PM to
escalate risks to quality and schedule to management team.*

This is the same group as Job #3956. Pretty much the same job description
however less emphasis on strong knowledge of C++ code (the candidate still
has to have some knowledge of C++) and more emphasis on test automation for
white box and black box testing. *

*Job: 4130 - Sr. SQA Engineer*

*3+ Month Contract*

*Location: Sunnyvale, CA*

*Help develop the future of digital video.
Validate software developed in context of product releases; all aspects of
product validation including review and feedback of product specifications,
generation of detailed test plans and reports, peer review of test plans and
execution of test plans. Interface with cross-function teams including R&D,
marketing, and Customer Support. Participate in development and
implementation of process and policy to facilitate best-in-class software
development and release. Participate in and lead projects that enhance
overall software quality, such as development of automated test suites and
implementation of testing tools. *

Education or experience background must include: *

·          *Analyzer tools for debugging and analyzing*

·          *Networking protocols including TCP/IP and Multicasting*

·          *Device and system level testing for software*

·          *Analyzing stream bit rate*

·          *Various imaging processing (BITMAP, JPEG) and video compression
techniques. *

*Additional Notes:**
This client is very technical, not formal, want people who are passionate
for the work, who want to learn. They are also very critical of over selling
of skills on a resume. If the candidate writes it, they better be able to
back it up! This is big for them.*

*There are existing tools but engineers are expected to write new scripts
and tools. It can be written in other languages other then C/C++, for
example Python. *
