This is my direct client opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer - Irvine, CA. This is can be a contract, contract-to-hire, or permanent position. The Hourly rate is 50-60/hour and the salary for permanent employment is 80-90K. Responsibilities: The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of medical devices and may provide technical leadership to, or in concurrence with, project teams. Will design parts, make prototypes, write validation protocols, test, analyze data and generate reports.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have at least 6 years related experience working with medical products and must be a team player who possesses good verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to meeting schedule and project milestones. Requires working knowledge of: Materials MECHANICAL DESIGN Biocompatibility and Sterility Product/Process Validation Testing Solid Modeling (Pro/E preferred) Lab View FEA and CFD BSME Preferred Qualifications: Pneumatics Fluid flow, injection molding, extrusion, engineering plastics and/or elastomeric materials Advanced degree desirable Please complete the following skills-matrix and send back with your updated resume.
