One of our clients in Eden Prairie, MN has an immediate need for a *WebLogic
Administrator. * 2 – 3 month engagement. No rate has been established, so
pass on any candidates who could do the work at this point..
Tasks include:
1) installation of Version 10. They are currently using Version 8. If
there are problems with Version 10, the person would have to be able to roll
them
back to Version 8 without impacting their applications.
2) Troubleshooting JMS (Java Message Service) which works with Web Logic.
3) Set up of the WebLogic Node Manager
1. General assistance with WLS 8.1 SP5 upgrade to WLS 10 MP1
2. Assist with resolving open support cases:
· 809316 - Hung server/JNDI tree not viewable.
· 801554 - Unix admin case that was open to understand some upgrade
issues. How do JMS queue entries get migrated? What do you do if you run
the upgrade; have to fall back to old version and the upgrade again?
3. Assist with resolving other issues:
· Recompiling EJB when code is deployed. Work around to compile
under appc, have tested and hasn't worked.
· Out of memory error during EJB recompile when using CMS garbage
collection. Cient has implemented temp work around to remove CMS options.
4. Assist with configuration of Node Manager Setup
5. Assist with migrating Startup scripts to WLS 10 MP1
6. Assist with validation of QA and production environment baselines prior
to upgrade
7. Assist with performance testing and tuning assistance in QA environment
