PROJECT/POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Job Function Description - Application-Level Systems Design Engineer The
candidate must have exceptional architectural and design skills in large,
Enterprise telecommunications and Call Center environments-largely VoIP, but
also including legacy TDM. More importantly, it is imperative that the
applicant possess a fairly broad and diverse technology background. Driving
enhanced business functional and operational capabilities through new
application extensions to the core communication platforms-whether via
converged, unified or integrated adjuncts-requires that the candidate
possess a strong working knowledge of voice, computing platforms and data
networks (both LAN and WAN). The candidate must have demonstrable success in
contributing to the evaluation of new technologies to assess their
relevance, value with respect to business requirements as well as synergy
with existing infrastructure and systems. The candidate must be
detail-oriented and have be capable of driving and disseminating detailed
technical functional design requirements from business engagements.
Candidate will be capable of applying analytical evaluative and design
techniques systematically so that the solution will be able to be
implemented according to hosting work flows, organizational constructs and
planning management. Ensures capacity exists in the hosting realm to house
this design and details capacity actions when capacity does not exist.
Required skills:
Significant experience designing and deploying large-scale Enterprise
converged communications systems.

Enterprise
. Platforms: Avaya / Cisco
1 Protocols: H.323 / SIP
2 Trunking: Centralized and Distributed
. Call Center Technologies
. Avaya Call Center Elite
1 Adjuncts: CMS / NICE DVR / etc.
(Multidisciplinary Background) Candidate will possess a fairly broad and
diverse technology background.
Moderate understanding of MPLS networks, data routing, 802.1q,
DiffServ, ACL's and firewalls, DHCP, DNS and VPN (IPSec and SSL).
Moderate understanding of computing platforms, storage technologies and
business applications
Moderate understanding of advanced communications applications and
architectures-including Unified Communications, messaging,
multi-channel contact centers, and etc.
