C++/Unix Application Developer 3-6 Month contract Alpharetta, GA. Rate: $45/hr Responsibilities: Responsible for providing technical system solutions and determining overall design direction. Provide technical leadership and are responsible for the technical integrity within a subsystem or application. Also provide technical expertise to generate maintainable, quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements, creating application designs, validating high-level designs to ensure accuracy and completeness against the business requirements and programming the solutions. Attend project meetings when technical advice is needed and communicate the project design to other architects. May resolve design issues and develop strategies to make ongoing improvements that support system flexibility and performance. Assess the technical feasibility of new technologies to enable integration into existing processes. Qualifications: This application development role will work on application support problems as well as develop new application functionality on a Sun Unix/Oracle platform. This application is a sales compensation system supporting multiple sales channels for sales commission calculations. This person will work directly with a team of 8-10 people. In this role the person will develop the application changes, unit test the changes, and support the subsequent testing cycles for each application fix or enhancement produced. Any wireless or telecom exposure is a plus.
