Position:Network Technician-CISCO Switches/Routers Location: Thousand Oaks, S.CA Duration: 2 – 3 months Start: January Interviews immediately *MUST HAVE EXTENSIUVE EXPERIENCE ON CISCO SWITCHES AND ROUTERS Job Description: Work to be Performed – This is a critical role on one of the key ISI infrastructure projects for 2008 – Network Refresh Project. This project will be replacing end of service life network equipment through out Amgen’s network. Hence, a large amount of equipment will need to be configured and installed. Multiple changes per week will be occurring on the Thousand Oaks campus. In order to maintain the project schedule additional resources will be needed for the peak of this effort. Use of supplemental contract resources was planned and budgeted as part of the project. This resource’s primary role will be to work under the direction of an Amgen Network resource providing help with the large number of switch installations / configurations. He / she will be heavily involved in the pre-installation planning, testing, configuration and racking of the new equipment. They will also be involved in off-hours work for the production cut- over and de-installation of old equipment. Background – Should be trained Cisco certified technician with more than 3 years of experience working in phone closets / data centers and with Cisco switches. Person must be very detail oriented.
