Here is the job description: Title: Business Analyst with Property and Casualty experience Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6 months *US Citizen or Green Card holders required* *Required Skills:** * *- Business Analyst* *- Property/Casualty- Extensive Commercial Lines experience* *- Strong Functional Experience* *ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Providing technical expertise across business functions, understanding the relationship between the business and the data and technology that support the business or product. Responsible for managing the collection, analysis, documentation and coordination of multiple business and/or technical requirements which may include, but is not limited to: Facilitating planning sessions with multiple business partners to improve business processes or products ~ involves using and improving information systems. Establishing relationships with one or more business partners by demonstrating expert knowledge of business processes/drivers and technical systems, being proactive, and managing the development and implementation of innovative solutions. Providing technical coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members. Proactively researches and applies Best Practices to technology solutions for areas of expertise. Acts as a resource to less experienced personnel in the application and execution of Best Practices ~ recommends improvements to Best Practices procedures as identified. Working with business partners to define needs to align with business priorities and assess impact on other business processes. Leading requirements gathering sessions to identify and articulate needs/requirements i.e. JAD sessions, story-boarding. Advising business partners on options, technical limitations, risks and cost vs. benefits and ensuring a structured requirements process for the business is adhered to. Leading the development, of structured requirements gathering through various techniques i.e. JAD and storyboarding for the design and implementation of solutions. Oversees the documentation of requirements and participates in the development of prototypes. May be accountable for a portion of a project plan, working in collaboration with project managers, from requirements phases through design, testing, implementation and maintenance. Acts as a resource to less experienced personnel in developing and executing test/use cases. Defining when to employ automation and determining impact. Identifies, recommends and may approve improvements when appropriate. Participates, facilitates and leads project meetings/sessions. May act as a resource in the design, development, and execution of complex reports and/or report requirements. Identifies and recommends improvements when appropriate. May analyze and provide production support for more complex or escalated issues. Partners with technology development to provide a solution. Seeks guidance from more experienced resources when needed. May provide support through the warranty period. *EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE* Typically requires seven to ten years of relevant technical and business work experience. Requires /in-depth knowledge of business operations, requirements processing, business modeling concepts, information systems and project life-cycle knowledge, and business process development. Knowledge of Industry Business Analysis Best Practices preferred.
