Duration will be through Dec 2009.*** Senior Java Developer|Position Description About Investor Reporting II (IR2): Investor Reporting 2 is a large-scale, high-performance transaction mortgage and loan processing system and will be used to support the Home Affordable Modification initiatives. The application is being developed using proven technologies, including PL/SQL, ORACLE, Ab-Initio and Java in complex combinations following established and proven methodologies and practices for the development of large scale technology systems. The purpose is to processing modified mortgages to support foreclosure prevention. The project team will adhere to aggressive timelines and goals. About the Team: The Tools and Shared Services Team develops and maintains the IR2 application release process through development of automated processes. The team helps define release process for the IR2 application. We support release management, deployment and development teams for application releases. We also develop and manage Shared functionality that is functionality used as infrastructure by batch development teams. The Tools team develops and maintains tools like TDR (Test Data Repository) and Automated Test Processes to allow development teams with unit test capabilities. About the position: • The Senior Developer will be responsible for Analysis, Design, Coding and Unit Testing for various modules. Construction tasks are the focus of responsibilities which also include code review and mentoring. • This individual will provide expertise in the full lifecycle development of software systems. • The responsibilities include but are not limited to Analysis, Design, Development, release process and application packaging. • Requirements/Analysis: Work directly with the customers to understand and translate the requirements into effective technical solutions. Work with management to accurately estimate the LOE for implementing solutions. • Development: Design and develop applications to support release management business function. Support the QA process by assisting in the development of unit test cases and expected results. Document technical work clearly and in a manner that ensures proper understanding by both business and technical staff. • Procedures: Create and enhance administrative, operational and technical policies and procedures. Must adopt Fannie Mae best practice guidelines, standards and procedures. Responsibilities: Work with various teams to determine software requirements.§ Design, develop§ & document processes and procedures for application release, build and deployment. Expertise with J2EE, JDK 1.5, Weblogic 9.0, iBatis, Oracle§ Develop Release Build and Deploy procedures for application code developed in PL/SQL, Java and Ab-Initio.§ Develop procedures and processes for application releases using UCM (Clearcase and Clearquest).§ Design§ & development of automatic testing software to support development teams using Java, UNIX Shell scripts, Perl. Support all development teams testing requirements.§ Demonstrated experience in above in a production environment.§ Strong knowledge and use of development, methodologies, standards and procedures§ Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks§ Ability to provide technical expertise to junior team members and consult with other application developers to tune and performance test new and existing code base§ Excellent written and verbal communications skills§ Excellent teaming and leadership skills§ Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: 7+ years of Java development experience – at least 3 years of UNIX development experience§ Expertise in Application Development with knowledge of full software development life cycle§ Must have development experience with Java, J2EE, UNIX Shell scripting§ Skills should include working with tools such as Ant, Rational ClearCase§ Demonstrated experience in working through production environment deployments§ Understanding in deployment architectures for PL/SQL and J2EE§ Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability§ Strong knowledge and use of development, methodologies, standards and procedures§ Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks§ Ability to provide technical expertise to junior team members and consult with other application developers to tune and performance test new and existing code base§ Excellent written and verbal communications skills§ Excellent teaming and leadership skills§ Nice to Have Skills: Cruise Control and Junit are a plus.§ Knowledge of PL/SQL,§ & Ab-Initio, and UCM is a plus Qualification Rating FNMACompany Default Category 5-7+ years software development experience * 5+ Yrs.
