Please let me know your interest. * * *System Admin/Data Center Consultant* *Location: Irvine, CA* *Duration: Long-term* *Rate: $40/Hr* As a member of the data center management team, consult with IT partners and assist the planning efforts related to new hardware implementation and/or removal. Follow and insure IT Partner compliance with change management methodology. Ensure compliance with audit and other sensitive activities; participate in corrective actions as required. Coordinate moves/adds/changes within the data center space. Responds to infrastructure alarms and alerts, escalating to and managing or coordinating vendor support as needed. Coordinates with and oversees vendors performing after hours scheduled preventive maintenance for critical infrastructure systems. Coordinates with onsite security and vendors to insure physical security policies are strictly followed. Monitors and tracks data center infrastructure capacity and utilization including UPS, mechanical and power distribution systems. Maintains documentation related to data center space including floor diagrams, rack elevations and hardware. Coordinates and oversees the afterhours installation/removal of power whips, server cabinets, cable management and power distribution units.
