Our Client seeks a Cognos Developer to design and develop Cognos reports of
moderate/high level of complexity, working with Framework Manager Models
and problem resolution of existing reports.
Work may include replicating police forms, creating statistical reports,
creating scheduled reports and creating reports the user may run on demand.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team-based environment;
ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines; ability to work
on several projects simultaneously.
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills in a team environment.
Experience with software architecture, configuration maintenance,and data
migration Required 5 Years
Expert understanding of relational database design and maintenance and SQL
query languages Required 7 Years
Expert Cognos BI development skills (Report Studio, Analysis Studio,
PowerPlay) Required 7 Years
Expert skills and experience with Cognos BI Administration Required 8
Years
Expert skills and experience with Cognos Framework model development
Required 7 Years
Experience in designing, implementing logical data models Required 5
Years
Expert understanding of Data Integration / Warehousing methodologies
(preferably Informatica) Required 7 Years
Experience in the development and support of reporting solutions using
Cognos BI 10 as well as prior versions Required 5 Years
Experience writing design specifications, developing models, framework
manager packages, cubes and reports using Cognos BI. Required 5 Years
Expert understanding of relational databases, like Oracle (11g and above)
or SQL server is a plus Highly desired 7 Years
Extensive experience in upgrading, installing and configuring IBM Cognos
products is required Required 5 Years
Candidate must pass an MPD fingerprint background check (in addition to the
standard background check) before engagement.
