Title: Construction Manager Duration: 12+ months Location: Colorado (Denver, Commerce City, and Henderson) Contract Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects, projects that are small to moderate in scope, risk, and/or organizational span, including subprojects of larger, more complex projects. Manages multiple projects and orchestrates the results to achieve a broad program goal. Plans and implements schedules and monitors program from inception through delivery ensuring all deadlines are met. Defines and reports program status, development issues and success metrics. Identifies and monitors areas of risk. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve cost, performance and schedule. Manages to budgets. Manages stakeholder engagement and satisfaction. Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal process and practices impacting component projects or overall program. Adheres to standard project management methodologies and reporting techniques. Profeciency in MS Office required. *Location: 35 mile long project, multiple show up spots, locations haven’t been identified but within the Denver, Henderson, Commerce City, CO area** There will be extended hours depending on construction activities, there may be around the clock monitoring and altered scheduled. Responsibilities: Responsible for overall project implementation including daily coordination of labor crews, equipment and materials to insure adherence to safe work practices, on-time schedule completion and quality of work in compliance with Client Gas standards. Leads daily tailgate meetings on site each morning with crew foremen and inspection to debrief on safety concerns, scope of work planned for the day, coordination with third party contractors, traffic control and issues that may impact work productivity, i.e. weather, equipment breakdowns, labor shortages, etc. Oversight of work performed by each inspector on the project to ensure adherence to related regulations and codes including: safety, welding, trenching, right away clearing, backfilling, etc. Manage the financial/production terms of the contract to ensure best ROI for company; whether it is a lump sum bid with completion milestones or a “time and materials” agreement. Includes maximizing productivity of on-site resources with continual evaluation of construction progress to the authorized milestone schedule. Diplomatic relations with city, county and state municipalities, private land owners and general public. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of high pressure gas pipeline construction manager experience. Experience managing crews up to 30 people with a large percentage being contractors. Expertise in DOT Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) rules. Certification is a plus.
