Our client is looking for a *SAP Basis consultant* on immediate basis. This opportunity is a long term contract with possibility of going full time/permanent. This position requires to work on-site (no remote option) and candidate should be local to New York area. *Position: SAP Basis* *Location: New York, NY* *Duration: Long term (possibility of going permanent)* *Roles and Responsibility:* 1. Participate/Execute SAP projects including system builds, installations, operational projects, and Basis administrations & support. 2. Provide SAP Architectural advice and design consulting during new project initiatives, POC efforts etc. 3. Install, upgrade, and patch SAP products as required. 4. Develop and maintain policies, standards, and best practices for all infrastructure matters related to SAP Architecture. 5. Work with other teams to interface with SAP systems to the existing infrastructure and network. 6. Provide a stable, secure and recoverable environment for all SAP products. 7. Administration and Optimization of all the SAP Environments, as an SAP Basis Expert. *Qualifications:* Key actions, outputs, deliverable, products and/or services performed by this position include: *Required SAP Basis Administration skills:* SAP Installations SAP Upgrades Advanced research and resolution of issues Performance Tuning SAP Integration to other SAP and non-SAP systems Database monitoring and troubleshooting Client copies, systems copies, instance refreshes Backups and restores Monitoring and Tuning of SAP systems Patch Administration Transport Management Third party product installations SAP OSS research Database migrations and reorganizations *Knowledge and experience requirements:* 1. Graduate degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Information Systems desired. 2. 7-10 years of SAP work experience is required with a focus on ECC, CRM, BW, BPC, XI/PI, SAP BO and Solution Manager with Windows & MSSQL DB, in MSCS Cluster. 3. 4-6 years of work experience as a SAP Basis Architect with demonstrate experience related to landscape design and planning, expert performance optimization skills etc. 4. 7-10 years of SAP Basis Administration work experience, in both Implementation Projects & Production Support. 5. 3-5 years of exp working on Windows environment. 6. Working experience with SAP monitoring techniques and tools. 7. Working experience in SAP systems performance tuning and optimization. 8. Expertise in implementation and operations of Solution Manager functions like Technical Monitoring, E2E RCA, Service Desk, ChaRM, Business Process Monitoring etc. 9. *Experience in HANA environment is a huge plus.* 10. Experience in Cloud computing environment, especially MS Azure is a big plus.
